After Toronto, Lethbridge, Yellowknife and Montreal, it’s time for Ottawa to host Project Shift: Creating a safer digital world for young women Knowledge Exchange Forum. The event will take on Wednesday, November 25, from 2pm to 5pm, at YMCA-YWCA Language Assessment and Referral Centre (240 Catherine Street, Room 207). Come and join the conversation on how to end cyberviolence against young women in the digital world and beyond.

YWCA Canada’s Project Shift is a national project that has convened diverse stakeholders to work toward systemic change by developing and implementing strategies that prevent and eliminate cyberviolence against young women and girls. Funded by Status of Women Canada, the knowledge sharing project draws from the findings and recommendations uncovered through a gender based analysis needs assessment. The current phase of the project includes a series of knowledge exchange forums to be hosted in communities across Canada in the fall of 2015. Building on the findings and recommendations, YWCA will collaborate with national partners and community partners to execute several key strategies, pilot programs, and develop tools and resources that address the issue of cyberviolence.
